What is Rabid Haberdashery?

In 2015, a married couple in Massachusetts named Tej and Carol started sharing creative projects online. Some of them were entirely created by Tej, such as a webcomic called Fatebound and a podcast called Exploring Comics; while others, like livestreamed games in support of Children's Miracle Network hospitals by way of Extra Life, were done as cooperative efforts in which Tej took a more public-facing role and Carol handled a lot of the more technical and organizational aspects.

But as the number of creative endeavors (and their family) grew, they needed to find a way to bring all of this under one cohesive banner. Rabid Haberdashery was the name given to the overall project of sharing our creative works, and the 'brand' under which new works are published.

GenAI Policy

Rabid Haberdashery values the work of human artists. Tej in particular holds a strict anti-generative AI stance; and since he is ultimately the person who decides what does and does not get shared under the Rabid Haberdashery name, he has instituted the following rules to guide himself and any contributions from others:

Nothing produced in-house, commissioned specifically for Rabid Haberdashery, or published under the name "Rabid Haberdashery" may knowingly use generative AI at any stage of its development.
Nothing publicly displayed as part of a Rabid Haberdashery production (including, but not limited to, a character icon or user avatar used by someone involved in the production during a livestream) may have been knowingly produced with generative AI.
Rabid Haberdashery does not claim any right to dictate what people who appear on its productions do on non-RH projects. Use of generative AI by people involved in Rabid Haberdashery outside of Rabid Haberdashery will not be a factor in their involvement.
If something appears to violate rules 1 or 2, the person will be asked about it. In general, their answer will be trusted; they will not have been allowed to produce things for Rabid Haberdashery if we didn't trust them. If it is later found that generative AI was unknowingly involved in the creation of the asset, the asset will be removed and attempts will be made to replace it with something that abides by rules 1 & 2. If generative AI was knowingly used and we were lied to about it, the person will be approached about their continued involvement following this breach of trust.
