Rabid Haberdashery

Tej was raised in Pennsylvania but has been involved in church planting in New England since 2008. He began attending college for a degree in Pastoral Ministry in 2017 and launched Tall Tales in 2018. He has a lovely wife, three kids, an assortment of animals, and a questionable backstory. His family currently lives in rural Massachusetts.
Tej writes fiction for adult audiences in the fantasy and science fiction genres, as well as Christian theology. His fiction tends to include settings past their prime, and antagonists who seek greater power than they can be trusted to wield.
He also produces campaign materials for tabletop RPGs and is available to produce freelance maps for books and campaigns, as well as running campaigns in a number of systems.

Tall Tales was a series of interconnected paranormal horror and urban fantasy short stories originally written as blog posts and collected into books. The first two volumes were published before Tej pulled the project to rework as The Coraxiad (below). You can download the books on a pay-what-you-want basis:

Works in Progress

The Coraxiad
The Coraxiad is a multi-book project of paranormal horror and urban fantasy stories following a handful of people digging into the world of the unknown and finding themselves bound to a shared fate. This is being reworked from Tall Tales to better suit the shift to book-focused publishing.

The age of magic has ended, a new industrial age is on the horizon, and the dark corners of the map are being found and tamed. One of the last retired adventuring heroes is wasting away in a tavern alongside a ferret wordsmith, dreading the end of the world they knew. But when a noble recruits them to a team committed to restoring magic to the world, they set out on one last epic quest to shape the future; and must ultimately decide if the glory days of their youth really deserve to return.
The Archetype System
The Archetype System is a new tabletop RPG ruleset being developed by Tej that can be used to build games in a variety of genres and settings. The system itself encourages players to specialize, increasing the die size based on how narrowly one defines the skill being used. As players become experts, or archetypes, in their chosen field and play style, they will rely more and more on group dynamics and careful planning to make the best use of their design.
Memento Mori
The shortest book of the Old Testament is easily overlooked. Its fixation on judgement against Edom, brevity, and location in the middle of the Minor Prophets encourages us to gloss over it just to check it off as we make our way through reading plans. But this prophetic word speaks directly to the nature of God, His expectations for His people, and His greater purposes in a deep and concise way. This book is an attempt to unpack the message of Obadiah and understand what it means for us today.
The Worst Baptist
Taken from posts on a blog by the same name, The Worst Baptist is a collection of writings on theology, the Christian life, and the nature of the church as a family, covenant community, and image-bearing body of the Kingdom in the world.
